Competencies
By the end of this series of leadership
interventions, partner/client organizations will have:
• A deeper understanding of the importance of leadership and its potential to
impact
service delivery, relationships with partners,
and morale of staff.
• Assessed their leadership capacity at the individual and organizational
levels
• Established peer mentoring relationships for ongoing executive leadership
support
Interventions
To achieve these goals, the Pact OD Practitioner
will ensure successful completion of the
following:
• Leadership self‐assessment at the organizational level for each
organization in the
cohort
• Cohort level workshop for NGO executive directors
• Peer learning promotion among executive directors
• Facilitation of leadership strengthening for each organization, focusing on
topics such
as: individual self‐assessment; personal
experiences with leadership; leadership vs.
management; understanding spheres of influence;
leadership styles; and effective
listening.
Practitioner Skill Development
This module seeks to improve OD practitioner
competency in:
• Guiding organizations through a process of reflection on the concept of
leadership
and how to best nurture it in the local context
• Helping all members of organizations to take steps toward strengthening
their individual
leadership
• Effectively designing and facilitating leadership strengthening processes
• Utilizing a variety of facilitation and training techniques to ensure
maximum effectiveness
